Museum In A Box
Bring hands-on learning to your classroom: handle museum objects, discover their stories, and create your own "Museum in a Box".
In-class programme
$7.50 per student
Museum in a box is a 40 - 60 minute in-class programme with one of our museum educators. Students will handle objects from the museum, discover the stories they carry, and create their own “Museum in a Box” with taonga that are meaningful to them.
Through interactive activities and storytelling, tamariki will:

Learn about the role of museums in preserving and sharing our history.

Explore the connections between the past, present, and future.

Discover how taonga help us understand who we are.
This programme builds on a successful trial in schools and is part of our commitments to making our education programmes more accessible.
