An honourific term for ‘Ipu Kōrero’ (rattle type objects) were used as a rhythmic, mnemonic system that were known to be part of their tool kit and aided them through sound in recollecting of specific events, places and time, or sequences in .

Using signifies the importance for conservation of our natural resources.
