Morning Tea and a guided tour of the 'Timeline' Exhibition with new Arts Curator, Gina Matchitt.

Tuesday, 25th March, 10am for 10.30am

As you know our Museum and Gallery holds a very extensive art collection. It is not often that there is so much of the collection on display at one time. However, in the current exhibition "Timeline", the Friends have a much 'sort after' chance to take a guided walk through this exhibition with Gina.

"Timeline Exhibition: Waikato Art 1850-2000" was curated by former Waikato Museum Curator Nadia Gush with contributions from Linda Tyler. In this exhibition you will see the painting Maori Pah by George Baker 1900, whose restoration was paid for by the Friends and a work by our own long-standing Friend, Elaine Henry. This is a golden opportunity to take a journey through the development and history of Waikato art. So do keep the date and we look forward to your company.

Annual General Meeting

Thursday 29th May, 5pm for 5.30pm

The 51st AGM will start with drinks and nibbles. We look forward to hearing from our director Liz Cotton about her visit to the Venice Biennale, her latest update from our Musuem, Annabel's scholarship outcomes and hopefully only a short amount of business!
