Artist Talk: Kiingi Tuheitia Portraiture Awards

Join curator Gina Matchitt for a discussion with Kiingi Tuheitia Portraiture Award winner Jazmin Tainui Mihi Paget-Knebel and textile artist Aroha Matchitt-Millar.
The discussion will cover the portraiture works featured in the exhibition, along with the creative practice of both artists, and their ambitions for the future.

Ruth Rhodes, on behalf of the Friends Committee, has arranged an exciting and exclusive guided tour of Waikato Hospital's extensive art collection led by its Curator. If you have ever visited the Hospital you will have noticed the amazing art displayed on every floor. This is a great opportunity to hear from Kate Darrow, who manages the collection on behalf of the Waikato Hospital Art Committee. You will hear the story of the Artists and Works from an expert on New Zealand art. Enjoy this special opportunity to have a curated experience of a fantastic New Zealand collection and support the Hospital Art Trust which relies on donations to procure new works.
