Past Exhibition

Robert Nesta ‘Bob’ Marley OM (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981), came from the small nation of Jamaica and rose to prominence in the world of reggae to become a Rastafari ambassador.

Bob Marley was a poet and musician whose philosophical and political views were entrenched in his way of life and these views were spread worldwide through the ‘gospel’ of his lyrics. This exhibition features photographs and prints documenting the life of Bob Marley from Tairawhiti Museum’s collection.
