Plan Your VisitThese fifteen works will tell you about who Ida Carey was and how she lived a life dedicated to art. Carey was one of the Waikato’s most important artists and art pioneers in the 1930s up until her death in 1982. This small exhibition celebrates this legacy and complements the dramatic portrayal of her life’s work in a play by renowned artist and playwright Campbell Smith.
