Plan Your VisitJacqueline Fahey presents suburban life replete with familial, domestic and neighbourhood entanglements. Centering on her experience as a woman in the suburbs, Fahey brings love, loss, family, friendship, frustration, chaos, conflict and aging into the frame of portraiture.
Painting for over seven decades, Fahey is a significant figure in the history of New Zealand art.
This exhibition is a survey of Fahey’s work developed and toured by The New Zealand Portrait Gallery Te Pūkenga Whakaata.
