Past Exhibition

For more than thirty years, German-born puppeteer Norbert Hausberg has delighted Kiwi audiences with dramatic productions starring hand-crafted marionettes.

Norbert’s one-man theatrical company, Strings Attached, has toured the country since 1984, performing a variety of plays ranging from re-imaginings of classic fairy tales to original stories inspired by New Zealand and international history. This exhibition celebrates Norbert’s career as a puppeteer and situates his work within the context of puppetry as a performance tradition.

Education programmes are available for this exhibition.
