Past Exhibition
Thirty years ago, collections from the Waikato Historical Society and the Waikato Society of the Arts combined to form the beginnings of the collection of Te Whare Taonga o Waikato. Today the Museum houses over 30,000 artefacts including taonga Maaori, art, social history and science. The collection is a reflection of the cultural heritage of Waikato-Tainui and colonial history, as well as art from the region. This exhibition celebrates some of the treasures from the Museum’s collection.
Education programmes are available for this exhibition.
