This winter, create a wellness routine with this yoga course for beginners and flow into the new week.

Learn a sequenced form of movement and discover the concept of the ‘8 limbs of yoga’. Also, get in touch with the real need for more rest, particularly in winter. 

Held weekly through the winter months, this series is led by Katie Deare and other qualified yoga instructors from Sun Salute Yoga Centre

Hosted in Exscite Taiao (the upper floor of our interactive centre for discovery), this is an after-hours opportunity for adults to make the most of a space usually dedicated to playful exploration by kids.

One-off bookings to these sessions will still be available at full price ($25 per individual session).

What to expect

These sessions will have a strong focus on breath and movement in the classic form of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. 

Wear comfortable clothing that you can stretch and flex in.

Mats will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own if you'd like.

Please bring a blanket for the end of the session.

All levels of experience welcome, nau mai haere mai.

Sun Salute Yoga Centre

Sun Salute has been running since 2007, when Katie Deare first started offering classes in a community hall.

Growing into a a holistic health hub, Sun Salute is now based in a welcoming and peaceful purpose-built space on Lovegrove Lane in Hamilton East.

NB: 'Yoga at the Museum' sessions are not covered by Sun Salute’s regular passes.
