Show us Waikato through your lens.

What story does your photo tell?

Photography has the power to capture more than just an image.

A photo holds memories, emotions, and stories that define who we are and where we come from.

As part of Double Take: Waikato Through The Lens, we invite you to share your own photographs and stories that celebrate the Waikato region, its people, and its identity.

Your contribution will help us build a richer picture of Waikato’s past and present. Whether it’s a treasured family photo, a snapshot of everyday life, or a creative reinterpretation of the Waikato, we want to see the region through your eyes.

How to take part

Choose or create a photo that tells a story about Waikato, past or present.

Write a short caption or story to go with your image.

Share your photo and story on social media and tag @tewharetaonga, or upload it on our submission form below.
