Drawn from the much‑loved 2022 retrospective presented by Te Papa and Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, this exhibition celebrates one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most influential contemporary artists.
Fifty years of art, people, and place
Spanning five decades, the exhibition includes White’s well‑known portraits and Aotearoa landscapes from the 1970s alongside later collaborative works made with artists and communities across the Pacific and Aotearoa. Together, the works reflect White’s enduring focus on everyday life, relationships, and environment.
